What is happening in the Amman property market in 2026?
The big changes are legal: Law No. 17 of 2026 (published September) adds a foreign residential ownership route and off-plan certificates, apartment sellers need new municipal papers since May, and the valuation-based property tax bill was withdrawn. Our October snapshot shows rents of JD 1,000 for a two-bedroom and JD 1,000 per m²; we cannot yet show a trend.
Sources: Petra, Al-Wakeel, Jordan News and our listing snapshot; see the sources on each linked guide. Legal points come from law-firm summaries and text mirrors of the statutes, not the Official Gazette, so confirm anything you rely on with the Department of Lands and Survey or a Jordanian lawyer.
